Community radio is about having fun, getting to know each other and finding out what is going on. Anyone can volunteer, and it's not just playing at being a DJ. Presenters need to be trained, and they need support: editors to create jingles, prepare programmes, and a whole host of people needed to schedule broadcasts, update web sites, talk to advertisers, help run the shop, interview people, find out what's happening, liaise with the wider world, review shows, restaurants, research food recipes, talk to gardeners, listen to music, maintain the ecommerce online shop - and even make a cup of tea, mop fevered brows, and help arrange parties and events - we need plenty of those.
