Felixstowe Radio

Felixstowe was once a classy seaside resort. Many believe it could happen again. However there must be significant changes. 

Visitors arriving by coach, who are often elderly, must make a choice: town or beach because there is no easy means fo climbing the cliff.

The destruction of the Pier Pavilion several years ago spelt the demise of tourism in the town. The Leisure Centre offers nothing, and like the Spa Pavilion is now controlled by a company with no association with the town, no concept of service, but a single-minded determination to make profit. It's disgraceful that such publicly-owned facilities are allowed to fall into the hands of Mammon, who gives nothing back in return. 

The amusement arcades are pale shadows of the earlier facilities, which are now pushed aside to allow a Sunday Market.
